Garden Party Celebration
Luckily, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are celebrated during the delightful weeks of late spring and early summer. It’s also graduation-party time and the prime season for weddings, showers, and engagement parties. Such celebrations are often gatherings of friends and families, with accompanying food for a crowd. You can always host a spring get-together indoors, but when the weather’s lovely, consider a garden party.
“Garden” can mean any outdoor space — a deck, patio, or back porch can be an enjoyable setting for your event. Our Garden Party buffet menu includes choices from delicate Cheddar and Chive Biscuits to grilled Mediterranean Chicken Kebabs to a to-die-for coconut cake. All our party-friendly recipes feature timesaving, do-ahead tips. Note that each recipe makes enough food for 12 — if that’s the only course your guests are eating. If you serve several different dishes, supplemented by one of our party platters, you’ll have enough food for 15 or even 20 guests. Just make sure you’ve allowed for extra pieces of cake — some of your guests are sure to want seconds!
