Gifts From Our Kitchens
The holidays are a time of cheer and celebrations, of festive
meals and gifts in all shapes and sizes. Gifts given at family gatherings,
presents packaged up for loved ones far away, offerings for
hosts of holiday parties. This is also a time when we recognize
those who touch our daily lives — like teachers, co-workers,
and letter carriers.
One of the most special gifts you can give — and receive — is
something homemade. And edible presents are always appreciated.
As the food editor of fresh magazine and a recipe developer, I
have my personal favorites that I like to prepare every year. Our
food writers are no different. Because we love, live, and breathe
food, naturally our favorite gifts are those that we can create in
the kitchen.
