Cooking with Kids - Batter Up

Many accomplished cooks point to the humble pancake as their introduction to cooking. This breakfast (or supper!) fare is quick and easy to put together with on-hand ingredients, and just plain tastes good, especially when topped with tasty syrup or fresh fruit.

Pancakes from scratch take only a few more minutes to make than those from a mix, with superior results. Kids get a real sense of accomplishment when they can follow directions, measure ingredients, and serve their homemade creations. We offer three types of pancakes, giving kids a variety of choices. And young cooks will learn different techniques from each recipe.
