Hannaford currently operates 167 supermarkets in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont under the name Hannaford Food and Drug or Hannaford Supermarket and Pharmacy . Our major market areas include:

We feature a variety of store formats, including conventional supermarkets and conventional supermarkets with pharmacies. Currently, the average store size is 48,400 sq. ft.; current prototype sizes range from 35,000 to 63,000 sq. ft.; and 120 locations have in-store pharmacies.

All of Hannaford's retail stores and 29 wholesale customers (independent supermarkets) are supplied by three company-owned and -operated distribution and trucking centers.

Our two full-line grocery distribution/transportation centers are located in South Portland, Maine (520,192 sq. ft.), and Schodack, New York (489,000 sq. ft.). General merchandise and specialty foods are supplied through a 200,000-square-foot facility in Winthrop, Maine.

Hannaford Trucking Company, founded in 1982, is a wholly owned Hannaford subsidiary with an elite team of drivers, a very knowledgeable dispatch staff, and late-model, well-maintained equipment. It is a licensed irregular-route common carrier with authority to transport general commodities in 48 states.
