Hannaford partners with the live theater troupe, FOODPLAY Productions, to encourage school children to make great nutrition choices. In 2006, the "Fresh Adventures at Hannaford-FOODPLAY Tour" reached 40,000 children in 100 elementary schools.

FOODPLAY is an Emmy Award-winning live theater show that combines fantastic feats of juggling, captivating characters, music, magic, and audience participation to motivate good eating and exercise habits.

Children receive a "Passport for Fresh Adventures at Hannaford” booklet to track the fruits and vegetables they eat.
In our stores, children can obtain stickers for the passport and then redeem the filled passport for a prize.
