February is the perfect month to spread some love by joining the fight against hunger in your community.

Hannaford is making it easy with its fifth annual Have a Heart for Hunger campaign, a program which raises funds for community food banks in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Massachusetts.

Donating to the cause is as easy as tacking on a contribution to your grocery bill at checkout.

You can choose a donation coupon of $2.00 or $5.00.

• On average, $2 allows a food bank to buy $20 worth of food
• $5 allows a food bank to buy 42 boxes of macaroni & cheese

All proceeds go directly to local hunger-relief agencies, enabling them to provide food to people who need it most.
