Last year marked our eighth annual Hannaford Helps Schools program. We're pleased to announce the 2008 program raised more than $1.40 million — a new record.
This year an impressive $1.22 million will be on its way to 2,700 schools across New England and New York, with an additional $188,000 in grant checks being presented to the top performing school in each store ($1,000 per school).
Since its inception, Hannaford Helps Schools has raised more than $5.6 million for our New England and New York schools.
 Checks will be mailed on March 9, 2009. They will be sent directly to the schools to the attention of the principal.
Each thousand-dollar grant winner will be contacted directly by a Hannaford store manager to arrange a check presentation.
