The Hannaford Gift Card is a pre-paid card that works similar to a gift certificate and can be used to purchase merchandise at any Hannaford Supermarket. It’s more convenient than giving cash or a paper gift certificate. It makes a great gift!

How do I use the Hannaford Gift Card?
The Hannaford Gift Card is simple to use. Upon swiping at the register, it deducts the order amount from the card. You can use it to purchase merchandise at any Hannaford Supermarket.

Can anyone use my Hannaford Gift Card?
Yes. Treat the card as you would treat cash. You may use it yourself, or give it to anyone you choose.

Are Hannaford Gift Cards sold in specific denominations?
No you may purchase a Hannaford Gift Card for any amount up to $250.00 per card.

Where are Hannaford Gift Cards sold?
Hannaford Gift Cards may be purchased at any Hannaford Supermarket location, and our participating independently owned Supermarkets. To purchase over the phone or for bulk purchases, contact the Hannaford Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577. (The Gift Card Sales Line accepts, VISA MasterCard, Discover and American Express, or the customer / organization can mail-in their payment. The department is open M-F, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM ET)

What forms of payment do you accept?
At our retail locations: We accept cash, check, PIN Debit, Service Plus, Discover, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Through phone sales, (1-888-646-2577, open M-F, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM ET): We accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

What happens when all the card value is used? Should I throw the card away?
As long as there are funds on the card it can be used as often as you like. Once you run out of funds you may add additional funds to the Gift Card at any Hannaford location, or by calling the Hannaford Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577. (The Gift Card Sales Line is open M-F 8:30 AM-4:30 PM) You cannot add value to cards that maintained a zero balance for more than 30 days.

Does the Hannaford Gift Card ever expire?
No. However, when a card is not used, (for purchases or value added to the card), within 2 years, the card will become inactive. Also, cards that retain a zero balance for more than 30 days will be deactivated. If you have a card with a balance that has not been used for more than two years, you can contact the Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577 (open M-F, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM ET) and request a replacement.

Am I restricted to using my Hannaford Gift Card only at the location of purchase?
No. It may be used at any Hannaford Supermarket, and our participating independently owned Supermarkets.

Are there any limits on the number of cards that can be bought or the amount of money that can be placed on the Hannaford Gift Card?
You may purchase as many Hannaford Gift Cards as you like, as often as you like. A maximum of $250.00 can be loaded on each card. If you are a business or organization wanting to make a bulk order of cards, please contact the Hannaford Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577.

Does the Hannaford Gift Card have a Dormancy or Service Fee?
No. Hannaford does not charge any fees.

Are there any restrictions on what I can purchase with my Hannaford Gift Card?
You may purchase any merchandise that you would like. However, you may not use the card to purchase Money Orders, Money Transfer Services, pay Utility Bills, or pay for Returned Checks.

Can I receive cash back on funds I have placed in my Hannaford Gift Card?
Hannaford Gift Cards may be redeemed for merchandise only and may not be redeemed for cash. If purchased from a Massachusetts store, Massachusetts's law dictates that if you have used 90% of the value that was loaded on the card, you can request that the balance be refunded. Request for Massachusetts refunds can be made by calling the Hannaford Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577. A check will be mailed to you within five to seven business days from the date of your request.

I received a Hannaford Gift Card, as a gift. However there are no stores in my area. What can I do?

I lost my Hannaford Gift Card, but I have the Hannaford Gift Card number / Gift Card Receipt. Can you cancel or replace the card?
Because the Hannaford Gift Card is just like cash, generally if the card is lost, we are unable to cancel or replace it. However, if you retained your receipts, please call the Hannaford Gift Card Sales Line at 1-888-646-2577.
