What are the benefits of the healthy saver plus program?

• Hannaford recognizes that the cost of health care is expensive and that it represents a growing cost for our customers with limited, or no prescription coverage. We created healthy saver plus to support our customers that do not have prescription coverage, or are under-insured. The healthy saver plus program is a perfect example of Hannaford’s ongoing commitment to the health and wellness of our customers.

• To enroll in the healthy saver plus program, speak to your Hannaford pharmacist. Or, visit www.hannaford.com, print out and complete the enrollment form and take it to your Hannaford pharmacist.

• There is an annual enrollment fee of $7 that covers you and everyone in your household.
• healthy saver plus is not meant for individuals participating in a federally qualified program.

• In response to the rising costs to administer a prescription-savings program and also to allow us to continue to add new savings benefits, our new program carries an annual enrollment fee of $7. Charging this fee is necessary to sustain the program benefits and continue to pass on great savings to Hannaford customers.

• The original healthy saver program will be discontinued on April 1, 2009. The program will continue to provide savings benefits to its members until this date. Because of your existing membership status, your 2009 enrollment fee to transfer into healthy saver plus will be just $3 (a $4 savings).

• The healthy saver plus program provides savings on prescriptions that are not covered by insurance, or to save on prescriptions for family members that are not covered by insurance.
• Prescriptions processed using the healthy saver plus program will not count towards a customer’s insurance deductible, and cannot be used to discount any customer’s copay.
• healthy saver plus is not meant for individuals participating in a federally qualified program.
• The healthy saver plus program discounts can not be applied in addition to any other discount offers.

• Antibiotics are most often prescribed for infections and/or illnesses people can’t plan (or budget) for. One of the most common causes of people not following their Dr.’s prescription orders is that they can’t afford the prescription. Hannaford does not want price to be an obstacle to our customers working with their prescriber to know when and how to appropriately use an antibiotic. • A Hannaford pharmacy associate can provide a printed copy of the over 450 generic drugs that are provided in either a 90 or 30-day supply.
