Sour Cream Cherry-Streusel Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1/2 cup light brown sugar (Topping)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (Topping)
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (Topping)
1/4 teaspoon salt (Topping)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces (Topping)
1/2 cup walnuts or Pecans, coarsely chopped (Topping)
1/2 cup cherry-pie filling (Topping)
2 cups all-purpose flour (Batter)
1 teaspoon Hannaford brand baking powder (Batter)
1 teaspoon Hannaford brand baking soda (Batter)
1/2 teaspoon salt (Batter)
1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened (Batter)
1 cup light brown sugar (Batter)
3 large eggs (Batter)
1 cup sour cream (Batter)
1 1/2 teaspoons Hannaford brand vanilla extract (Batter)
1 cup confectioner's sugar, sifted (Glaze)
1/2 teaspoon Hannaford brand vanilla extract (Glaze)
1 - 2 tablespoons milk (Glaze)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-inch springform pan. Line with parchment or waxed paper, grease again, dust with flour.
2. To make streusel: Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Set aside.
3. To make batter: Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt in small bowl. Beat butter in large bowl using electric mixer on medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute. Gradually add brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs , one at a time. Blend in the sour cream and vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture, mix until just blended.
4. Spread half of the batter into prepared spring form pan. Sprinkle with half the streusel. Carefully cover with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining streusel. Distribute cherries evenly over streusel. Bake until cake is golden and cake pulls away from sides of pan, about 50 minutes. Set on rack to cool.
To make glaze: Combine all glaze ingredients, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over cake and serve.
