Locally grown Close to Home
We created our Close to Home program a few years ago in order to find a way to let customers know how important sourcing locally grown and locally made foods has been, and it will continue to be to our way of doing business.
Buying produce grown close to home is good for local economies and good for the environment (less transportation is required). It's good for you too, because you're helping to support local agriculture that preserves open spaces and supplies jobs to hundreds of businesses in your communities like feed stores, hardware stores, and farm equipment and tractor suppliers.
Local growers from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and New York supply a high percentage of our produce. Apples, cider, tomatoes, pumpkins, cucumbers, green beans, strawberries, squash and fresh herbs are just a few if the local items we carry, and we're adding more suppliers and varieties every year.
