Cooking Methods

Place your turkey breast-side up on a flat rack in a shallow open pan (about 2 inches deep) in a 325 degrees Fahrenheit oven. When about two-thirds done, shield breast with foil to prevent overcooking.

Thawing & Freezing

Thawing whole turkeys in the fridge:
Place the turkey in its original wrap on a tray or in a pan to catch the moisture that accumulates as it thaws.

Thawing in cold water:
Check the wrapper to make sure there are no tears, place the turkey in its unopened bag in the sink or in alarge container and cover it with cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes to assure safe, effective thawing.
