Bacon Cheddar Burger with Pan Fried Onions
1/2 each Fresh whole large yellow onion
1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Low saturated fat vegetable oil
1/16 teaspoon Salt
1/16 teaspoon Black pepper
2 tablespoon Low calorie low sodium mayonnaise
2 each Hamburger buns
2 each Fresh large iceberg lettuce leaf
1/2 teaspoon Hannaford Inspirations ME Maple Mustard

directions:

1. Heat the butter and oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onions, salt and pepper. Cook stirring occasionally 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook 20 minutes more or until onions are brown and caramelized. Cool. (Can be done ahead and refrigerated).
2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill patties to desired doneness about 8 minutes per side for medium-rare. Meanwhile combine onions and mayonnaise in small bowl.
3. Place lettuce leaves and burgers on bottom halves of buns. Top with caramelized onion mixture and remaining bun tops. Serve with Maine Maple Mustard.
