Ingredients

A Brazilian style of chocolate truffle, brigadeiros are deceptively simple to make, are packed with rich chocolate flavor, and have a Tootsie-Roll-like chew.
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup cocoa powder
Sprinkles, crushed candy canes, chopped pistachios, or shredded coconut, for coating
Brigadeiros

Directions

1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and begins to form a cohesive ball, about 20 minutes.
2. Remove from heat and let cool, about 45 minutes. Place desired coating in a shallow bowl. Using greased hands, pinch off about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into balls. Roll in desired coatings and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
