Homemade biscuits add a personal touch to your meal. Serve this simple recipe alongside any of our wonderful to round out the meal.Tip: If you don't routinely keep buttermilk on hand, you can achieve the same results by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice per scant cup of 1% milk.
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2/3 cup 1% buttermilk
3 1/3 Tbsp. canola oil

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
2. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
3. Gently mix buttermilk and oil into dry mix to form a loose dough.
4. On a lightly floured surface, roll or pat dough to  3/4" thickness. Cut with 2" biscuit cutter, dipping cutter into flour between cuts. Transfer biscuits to an ungreased cooking sheet.
5. Bake until golden brown (12-13 minutes).
