Orange & Toasted Almonds Green Beans

Ingredients

Orange zest adds a zing to the enticing, nutty aroma of toasted almonds that add crunch and an attractive garnish to fresh green beans for a side that's sure to become a family favorite.Tip: To toast sliced almonds, place in a small dry skillet and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until fragrant and lightly browned (2-4 minutes).
1 lb. green beans, trimmed
1 tsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. orange zest
1/4 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Directions

1. Place a steamer basket in a large saucepan, add 1" water, and bring to a boil. Put green beans in the basket and steam until tender (5-6 minutes).
2. Toss the green beans in a large bowl with remaining ingredients.
