Pineapple-Jalapeno Cocktail Syrup

For an easy cocktail, combine 1 ounce of pineapple-jalapeno syrup with 2 ounces tequila and 1 ounce lime juice. Add ice and top with a splash of seltzer.
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 Tbsp. packed light brown sugar
2 jalapenos, stemmed, seeded, and sliced
2 cinnamon sticks

1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until syrup is slightly thickened, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.
2. Strain into an airtight container (discard solids) and refrigerate for up to 1 month.
