Hannaford Mobile App Privacy Statement

Information and Scope
Hannaford Supermarkets ("Hannaford") respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Statement describes the types of personal information we collect through our Hannaford Mobile App (the "App"), how we use the information, with whom we share it and the choices available to customers regarding our use of the information. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.
This Privacy Statement applies to the information we collect through the App. It does not apply to other apps, websites or services provided by Hannaford, Delhaize America, LLC or other affiliated entities. In addition, this Privacy Statement does not apply to the offline data collection and use practices of Hannaford, Delhaize America, LLC or other affiliated entities, such as data collection in a Hannaford store.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We may obtain certain personal information when you choose to provide it through the App. The types of information include your contact information (such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number), account information (such as your password and security questions and answers) and other information you submit in the App (such as feedback and questions).
Information We Collect By Automated Means
We may collect certain information by automated means through the App or our emails, such as through device, server logs, and other technologies. Examples of the information we collect in this manner may include the device type used, the mobile operating system, device identifiers and similar unique identifiers, device settings and configurations, IP addresses, battery and signal strength, usage statistics, referring emails and web addresses, dates and times of usage, actions taken on the App, and other information regarding use of the App. In addition, we may collect your device's geolocation information (see the "Location Services" section for more information). Both we and certain third parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across your devices and third-party apps and services.
Your device settings may allow you to prohibit mobile app platforms (such as Apple and Google) from sharing certain information obtained by automated means with app developers such as Hannaford.
How We Use and Retain the Information We Obtain Through the App
We use the information we obtain through the App for purposes of:
- Administering the App.
- Creating, managing and administering your account, including verifying your identity.
- Communicating with you about our products and services.
- Providing you with content, product and purchase information, coupons, offers and advertisements in the App, by email or text and in other ways.
- Customizing our users* experience on the App, such as delivering content (including advertising) tailored to our users and the manner in which they interact with the App.
- Communicating with you about, and administering your participation in, surveys, special events, loyalty programs, contests, sweepstakes, and other offers or promotions.
- Processing, evaluating and responding to your requests, inquiries and claims we receive in connection with our products and services.
- Performing data analytics, market research and other processing, such as gathering demographic information about our users, determining how users interact with and navigate through the App, and identifying and analyzing what media and marketing communications drove users to the App.
- Operating, evaluating and improving our business, such as by improving the App; personalizing your experience; tailoring our communications to you; developing new products and services; managing our communications; measuring the effectiveness of our sales, advertising and marketing; performing accounting, auditing, billing, reconciliation and collection activities; and analyzing our products and services.
- Protecting against, identifying and preventing fraud and other criminal activity, claims and other liabilities;

We may use third-party analytics services on the App, such as Google Analytics. The providers of these analytics services use technologies such as cookies, unique identifiers and other technologies to help us analyze how users interact with the App. The information we obtain may be disclosed to or collected directly by these analytics providers and other relevant third parties who use the information, for example, to evaluate use of the Services, measure the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising communications, and diagnose technical issues. Location Services
The App collects your precise geolocation for certain purposes, such as to help you locate nearby Hannaford stores and provide you with offers available in your area. Your device's operating platform may provide you with a notification when the App attempts to collect your precise geolocation. Please note that if you decline to allow the App to collect your precise geolocation, you may not be able to use all of the App's features or the offers available through the App.
In-App Purchases
We do not collect payment information through the App and in-App purchases cannot be made using our App.
Information We Share
We do not disclose personal information we obtain about you through the App, except as described in this Privacy Statement. We may share your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliates and with our joint marketing partners for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement.
We also may share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf based on our instructions. We do not authorize these service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. Examples of these service providers include entities that assist us in:
- Administering the Hannaford Mobile App
- Responding to your requests;
- Delivering customized promotions and advertising to you; and
- Performing statistical analyses for our services.
We may share personal information we collect through the App at your request. In addition, we may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) to law enforcement authorities, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.
We reserve the right to transfer personal information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).
How We Protect Personal Information
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the personal information you provide through the App against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure or use and other unlawful forms of processing.

For your convenience and information, our App may provide links to websites and online services. These websites and services may be operated by companies not affiliated with us. Linked websites and services may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review. We are not responsible for the privacy practices for any non-Hannaford sites, apps or services.
Updates to Our Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices or relevant laws. For significant changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice within the App and indicate at the top of the Statement when it was most recently updated.
