Walk-In Stores

In lieu of curbside pickup, the stores below offer Hannaford To Go walk-in pickup:

  • ME: Ellsworth
  • NH: Keene, Hudson
  • VT: Middlebury, Rutland

When picking up your order at these stores:

  1. Please arrive during the one-hour time slot you have selected.
  2. Simply park as usual in the parking lot and come inside to the Hannaford To Go counter.*
  3. Please note that we will not be reviewing substitutions and out-of-stock items.

*ME walk-in stores only: Due to a statewide mandate, a limited number of customers will be allowed in the store at one time. As a Hannaford To Go customer, you will be exempt from waiting in line to enter the store. Be sure to show your order confirmation email to the associate at the front door. Please hold the printed documentation or phone up from a 6-foot distance for proof of order. For your safety, associates will NOT handle your personal mobile device.

Given the rapidly changing impact of the COVID-19 crisis, we will update you here and by email should there be any changes to our service.

All Hannaford To Go pickup services have resumed. Please be aware that there will be some temporary limitations that will impact your shopping experience, including social distancing practices. Everything we are doing is for the safety of our customers and associates. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Item and Order Limits

Due to the high demand on items and in consideration of all customers, we have put limits on some products:

  • Some high-demand categories are limited to 2 items. However, further limit adjustments may be applied in-store daily, due to rapid fluctuation in inventory.
  • There will be reduced availability of some products.
  • Deli, seafood and meat items have been prepackaged into set weight amounts. Your shopper will select the number of items to meet your weighted request as closely as possible.

In order to complete checkout, your Hannaford To Go subtotal cannot exceed $500.

Substitutions

Due to fluctuations in product availability, we will need to offer more frequent substitutions. If you are unwilling to accept a substitution, be sure you uncheck the box next to the item. You will likely experience:

  • Temporary out-of-stock items even if you requested a substitution
  • Some products not being available, due to reduced inventory
  • Online quantity limits on some items
  • Increased substitutions
  • Unfamiliar brands (see below)
  • Substitutions will not be reviewed at time of pickup
  • All sales are final

Unfamiliar Brands

The high demand for goods has caused fluctuations in inventory and can lead to out-of-stock items in our stores. As we identify new sources for these items, you may start to see unfamiliar brands as substitutions in your orders.

Refunds, Returns and Rainchecks

We are temporarily unable to process refunds, returns or rainchecks. However, we will continue to honor our policy on pricing and cashier errors, accidental double scans and refunding items damaged from bagging. Please reach out to your store manager for any questions. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Restricted Items

To help protect our customers and associates, we have developed curbside social distancing procedures. Our associates will not be handling driver's licenses, IDs and complex transactions. We are temporarily suspending the following items/services through Hannaford To Go:

  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • Over-the-counter medications that require identification

Hannaford To Go Curbside and Walk-In Pickup, Step-by-Step Instructions (Social Distancing)

Curbside Pickup

To help protect our customers and associates, we have developed curbside social distancing procedures:

Once you announce your arrival:

  • Our associate will ask you for your desired payment method.

When our associate comes to your vehicle with your items:

  1. Please remain in your vehicle.
  2. Please note that we will not be reviewing substitutions and out-of-stock items.
  3. The associate will position the cart so that the mobile payment device is facing you, and they will step back, maintaining a 6-foot distance.
  4. At this time, exit your vehicle and the associate will talk you through the payment directions and prompts.
  5. Once the payment process is complete, unlock your trunk, or open your door if it cannot be done from inside your vehicle. Then you can get back in your vehicle.
  6. Your Order Summary and receipt will be put in one of your bags and your bags will be placed in your vehicle by the associate.
  7. Our associate will let you know when all the bags are in your vehicle and when the transaction is complete.

Sanitization

To ensure sanitary conditions, our associates use hand sanitizer between each customer transaction and after using PIN pads, pens, markers, shopping carts and other contact points and when reentering the store.
