Colonie store launches Hannaford To Go

Colonie, N.Y. – Local residents now may select their groceries online and pick up that order curbside at the Colonie Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy through the store’s new Hannaford To Go service.

 

The Colonie store, located at 96 Wolf Road, marks the fourth New York store to offer the Hannaford To Go service, which was launched in 2014. Other locations include Guilderland, Niskayuna and Saratoga Springs.

 

Customers shop online at Hannaford.com whenever it is convenient and order any item sold at the grocery store, including hot food and items that need refrigeration. Associates assemble the order and have it ready for the customer to pick up curbside. With as little as four hours’ notice, customers may pick their orders at a time of their convenience between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Associates load the groceries into customers’ vehicles for them.

 

“Hannaford To Go offers busy moms, commuters and other time-crunched people a convenient way to grab their groceries and stay on the move,” said Eric Blom, Hannaford spokesman. “Online customers have access to the same great products and prices that they have come to expect from Hannaford.”

 

Associates use care in selecting and handling produce, meat and other products.  They refer to any comments made by an individual customer, such as how yellow they want their bananas or how thick they want their steak.

 

The service is free to use for orders of at least $125 and just $5 for smaller orders. The first order, of any size, is free. Customers may use coupons, just as they would inside the Colonie store.

 

“Customers find the online ordering system easy to use,” Blom said.  “You can even start building a list by entering a number from a previous sales receipt or by using their   myHannaford number, which is available when they register on Hannaford.com.”
