Ingredients
8 cups water
2 cups packed light brown sugar
8 Tbsp. salted butter
8 whole cloves
5 cinnamon sticks
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 cups gold rum
Whipped cream, for serving

directions
1. In a slow cooker, combine water, brown sugar, butter, cloves, cinnamon sticks, vanilla, and ginger, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cook on low, covered, 2 to 3 hours.
2. Reduce heat to warm setting and stir in rum.
3. Divide among glasses and serve with whipped cream.
