Insert a wooden skewer lengthwise through the center of 1 hot dog. Place hot dog on a cutting board. Keeping a paring knife in hot dog at an angle, roll hot dog so knife cuts a spiral about 1" apart. Continue turning and cutting hot dog until entire length has been cut into a spiral. Remove skewer from hot dog. Repeat with remaining hot dogs.
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar and Worcestershire. Add spiraled hot dogs to bag and carefully massage to coat. Let marinate 15 to 20 minutes, or up to overnight in refrigerator.
Set grill or grill pan to medium-high. Remove hot dogs from marinade. Grill hot dogs until browned, 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally. During the last minute of cooking, place the buns cut side down on grill. To serve, place hot dogs in buns and top with your favorite toppings, if desired.
