Sitting overnight allows the chia seeds to turn the liquid to gel and the dates to soften enough to blend nicely. If mocha isn't your beat, consider other flavor combinations like fruit and nuts and play around with more nutritious approaches to sweet treats.Tip: The amount of cocoa in this recipe produces a very dark chocolate flavor. If you like a sweeter chocolate, start with less cocoa powder and adjust to taste.
1/2 c. chia seeds
1 1/2 c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 c. brewed coffee, cooled
6 dates, pitted
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. instant espresso powder
