1. Heat olive oil in large pan to medium-high heat. Saute onion until soft. Add garlic and saute another minute.
2. Add beef and cook until browned, crumbling with the back of a wooden spoon as it cooks, about 5 minutes.
3. Add spices, tomatoes and water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes.
4. Add pasta and cook until al dente (about 6 minutes).
Serve with crisp green salad.
