2 1/2 cups chopped broccoli
2 cups Shredded, part skim mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil, or 1 tsp. dried
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Broccoli Calzone Filling
  • Servings:Makes About 4 cups
  • Prep Time:20 minutes
  • Cook Time:1 minutes
1. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Blanch broccoli by cooking it in the boiling water for 1 minute, then immediately drain and rinse with cold water until cool. Transfer to a medium bowl.
2. Add cheese, tomato sauce, basil, and pepper and stir to combine. Refrigerateuntil ready to use, then make pockets as directed by Pocket Sandwiches recipe.
